All Academy and Elective Registration cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received 14 days prior to the event to qualify for a refund. Cancellations not received within this period are non-refundable. No-shows and inability to attend the ATC due to weather are non-refundable. Academy Registration: A $50 administrative fee will be deducted. One registration transfer is allowed per registration provided they have the same membership status, a $35 registration fee will apply.
National PELRA Labor Relations Academy and Certification Program (CLRP®)
Academy III: The Negotiations Process focuses on the negotiation process through classroom teaching as well as a negotiation simulation involving economics, reclassification and benefit issues that give participants an opportunity to sharpen their skills. For the negotiations simulation the class is divided into management and union teams. This interactive workshop on thorny problems and issues such as timing of settlements, impasse strategies and multi-year contracts precedes the simulation and debriefing. Finally, a discussion on "Perspective of the Negotiator" rounds out the day from a management panel.
The National PELRA Labor Relations Certification Program (CLRP(R)), is an innovative certificate program designed specifically for public sector labor relations and human resource professionals who are new to the field as well as the experienced practitioner seeking additional trainning. In order to attain the prestigious CLRP(R) designation, you must complete the three Core Academy's, (Academy I, Academy II and Academy III, in any order) and take the multiple-choice exam or write a paper.
This unique four - step program leads to the Professional Certification as a Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP®)
Complete Academies I, II, and III - May be completed in any order. Participants must complete each entire Academy.
Submit a Labor Relations Professional Paper - Paper to be approved by National PELRA Labor Relations Academy Committee prior to awarding certification.
Receive a Passing score on the CLRP® Exam (Please visit npelra.org to register for the Exam)
